Special Assembly – Scientific Temperament and Demonstration
It started with an introduction on scientific temperament, followed by discussion on scientific temperament by two classmates Misha and Khadija. We had two demonstrations
1. Experiment of floating and sinking egg in water, 2. Lifting of an ice cube with the help of the thread.
Students performed the experiment and also explained the scientific reason behind it. Another student answered and gave a scientific explanation to the question “Why do people have health problems when they sleep under a tree at night”.Nelson Mandela International Day

EARLY YEARS ACTIVITIES
Yoga Day for Early years
Yoga makes activities enjoyable, more like having fun than training. It helps individuals feel less nervous and more relaxed. It enhances concentration and attention, facilitating learning and participation in school activities. It gives kids more confidence as they learn new skills.
This is how students of EY3 started their day with some outdoor yoga to relax their minds and get charged for the day.Harita Haram – Plant a sapling
Haritha Haram Plant a sapling by Early Years is an amazing initiative by the Government of Telangana. It’s so inspiring to see their dedication to increasing the green cover in our state and making a positive impact on the environment. Let’s all join hands and plant trees to create a healthier and greener future for generations to come!
Field trip: Daisy Dale farm
The EY field trip to Daisy Dale farm with the children’s of Solitaire Global Schools at Attapur was precious! The students had an enjoyable day playing various indoor games, feeding domestic animals, and feeding some exotic birds. Seeing their faces light up with joy and excitement was truly heartwarming. Moments like these are what childhood memories are made of!
Supermarket brought to school
The supermarket activity was done by EY1 to understand the community places around and to have a better understanding of a supermarket. How things are bought and sold. The use of money in exchange for goods purchased. Students had a lot of fun doing the activity.
Bonalu Celebrations
Our EY to Grade 3 students had a blast with the dance performances and traditional fashion parade. It was such a vibrant and fun-filled event! Couldn’t wait to see all the kids showcasing their talent and creativity and spreading the joy and spirit of Bonalu together!
PRIMARY ACTIVITIES
Purpose of Emergency Equipment
The survey was administered for Grade 4 students. It included questions about the location and purpose of various safety devices for emergency situations within the school premises. About 90% of students were aware of the location of these emergency equipment in their school premises. And also understood the purpose of these equipment in an emergency situation.
World Population Day
On July 11th World Population Day our fourth-grade students participated in a collaborative poster-making activity conducted to raise awareness about global population issues. Outcomes are : 1. Enhanced understanding of world population issues among students. 2. Improved teamwork and collaborative skills. 3. Fostered a sense of accomplishment and pride in their work.
Visit to Biology Lab
A visit to the biology lab- Grade 3 Solitarians are learning about human skeleton by observing skeleton model.
Parts of Plants
Grade 2 Solitarians are observing different parts of a plant and understanding their role in plant growth.
A Memorable Field Trip Experience
On 18th July, students from Grade 1 to 3 embarked on an exciting field trip to Daisy dale farm . This journey was not only a break from the usual classroom routine but also a wonderful opportunity for experiential learning and bonding.

MIDDLE SCHOOL ACTIVITIES
“Go Green” Awareness Campaign
Green warriors of Grade 7 Ajax demonstrated their concern for the dwindling biodiversity and crucial environmental issues like deforestation, pollution and global-warming and climate change by organising a special assembly on 28th June 2024 in the Solitaire Global School, Attapur Campus. The green team made posters, paintings, recited poems, performed to the tunes of woes of nature and sang a melodious song on the theme of gardening. To prove their words into action, 7 Ajax students distributes snake plants to the family of Solitarians, as the sword of George is a good air purifier and is easy to plant and maintain Indoor and Outdoors in addition to its aesthetic sense. The day urged all solitarians to take up a green pledge to preserve nature by growing plants and live green.
World Population Day 11th July
Grade 8 learners did a colorful representation of our population in comparison with habitat, they have segregated the portion of the Earth demonstrating area of land, water, mountains, desert and habitat and vegetation. This activity makes them aware about human population growth and decreasing habitat.
Field Trip at Do Science Centre, Sanjeevaiah Park
Solitaire Global Schools, Katedan, treated their Grades 4-6 students to an enriching field trip at Do Science Centre, Sanjeevaiah Park. Learners explored concepts of science in an experiential environment and it was a great opportunity for the students to build scientific temperament. Students enjoyed hands-on exhibits exploring Physics, Mathematics, and Astronomy, fostering a fun and educational experience amidst nature.
Martial Arts Championship
It’s a proud moment @SGS Katedan to cheer Prithish Kumar of Grade 7 and Hardik Sharma of Grade 6 who have achieved a Gold medal and Silver medal in fight category of Martial Arts Championship held on 21st July 2024.
SECONDARY ACTIVITIES
Renewable Energy – Windmill
Renewable Energy- Windmill- The students of Grade 9 EVM (Environmental Management) displayed an outstanding skill in making a model of windmill which is a source of renewable energy. Through this hands-on activity they managed to learn the process of generating electricity by zero emission method.

School Outside School
The Solitaire learning experience is not only for Solitarians but also for other learners. It is difficult to understand the meaning of holistic development without experiencing the process. To give a feel of the school’s training process Solitaire Global Schools took an evening out at Mahalaxmi Residency, Attapur. An event was organized for learners of all age groups starting right from 3 years upwards. Various activities were carried out by the team keeping in mind all age groups. It was an overwhelming response that we received from the visitors. Stay tuned as we come up with many more such events.
Makar Sankranti
The Young learners of Early Years, Solitaire Global Schools, Attapur celebrated Makar Sankranti on 11th January 2024. Makar Sankranti is believed to mark the arrival of spring in India. As it is the festival of the Sun God and he is regarded as the symbol of divinity and wisdom, the festival also holds an eternal meaning to it. We had a Special Assembly for Makar Sankranti followed by kite flying supported by the sports team. The tiny tots had a fun time flying kites and watching them go to heights.
Shape Sorter Activity
This activity stimulates cognitive development by presenting a challenge: figuring out which shape goes where. This process enhances problem-solving skills and an understanding of cause and effect. It also helps students to learn the names of the shapes in a fun way.
Changes Over Time
To develop fine motor skills, improve the ability to recognize, and classify objects, and hand-eye coordination. In this activity, students sorted and pasted the objects in the UTW notebook. Students understand that the objects their parents or grandparents used in their childhood have now been replaced with digital/modern objects.
Count and Match
This activity helps children to identify the numbers by counting they can improve their reading skills. Sorting and matching develop Visual perceptual skills and improve.
Picture It and Build It
To improve students’ phonetic awareness, reading fluency, problem-solving, and identification of letters.
Learning about word families is an important part of reading CVC words. Students will become more fluent readers when they can see patterns in the way words are spelled.Revision Activity
Kids understood the sounds of the vowels and consonants and they learned the concept in a playful method.
Pronouns Activity
Pronouns are essential in the way to communicate with one another. Through this activity the little ones learned what pronouns and where they have to be used, they easily distinguished between them, and sorted the flash cards in the right place.
Solar System
Building and exploring the solar system can help children develop critical thinking skills. It is important to learn about the solar system.
Roll and Dice Game
When kids play dice games, there are plenty of benefits! Children who play dice games will not only improve their arithmetic skills but also employ their math calculation abilities, learn about the wonders of chance, and improve their physical dexterity and visual awareness.
PRIMARY ACTIVITIES
Cognito- Interschool Global Perspective Challenge
Our learners of Grade 4 and Grade 5 participated in the final round of Cognito- Interschool Global Perspective Challenge organized by Suchitra Academy- Hyderabad. They have put in a lot of hardwork and sincerity in completing the whole project involving the learners of Grade 4 and Grade 5. They have participated in poster making, awareness campaign, organized rally in the school campus all for a good cause. Keep the spirit high Solitarians.
Sundial Activity
Observation of the formation of shadow, change in length of the shadow, and position of the shadow due to apparent movement of the sun.
MIDDLE AND SECONDARY ACTIVITIES
Nukkad Activity
Students presented Nukkad to address National Girl Child Day in the assembly.
Chemistry Lab Activity
Testing production of hydrogen and oxygen gas and neutralization reaction.
Magnetic Force Activity
Students were able to feel the magnetic force as repulsion, attraction and were able to give the magnetic power to the ball pin and were also able to make a working and non-working model of compass.

SGS Rocks Again ………. Month of Achievements and Awards
Twin City Rotary Club has organized an award ceremony named as “Nation Builder Award” to felicitate the teachers for their precious contribution and exceptional methodologies to impart teaching and make a difference. We are excited to announce that, Mr. Mohammed Ajmaluddin Ahmed has been nominated as an awardee for the felicitation and honored for his unconditional contribution towards education.
Teacher’s Day Celebration
Teachers play a major role in making their students responsible citizens of tomorrow and good human beings. A wonderful gesture by the tiny tots of early years to grade 2 to show their respect and gratitude for their lovely teachers in the form of dance was presented in a special assembly. The teachers were deeply touched by the extravagant performance.

Janmashtami Celebrations
Sweeter than honey, tastier than curd, and pleasanter indeed than any happiness and joy is the company, is the power of the name of Krishna. The birthday of Lord Krishna is celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm, on this Janmashtami day, in India.
On Wednesday, 6th of September 2023, the students of Solitaire Global Schools celebrated Janmashtami. The students of Early years came traditionally dressed as Radha and Krishna. A splendidly colorful program was organized by the children and facilitators of the school, where students presented lovely dance performances. Here’s a glimpse.Fun with letters – Special assembly
The one thing Early Years is so much connected with is none other than the alphabet. They know their letters and sound so well by now that we decided to make them feel great about knowing them so well. A wonderful strategy to reinforce what they already know. On 15th September 2023, Friday we had a spectacular assembly for “Fun with letters” where our tiny munchkins did an alphabet fashion show walking on their favorite song, which was none other than Jolly Phonics.

UTW activities: When the topic is “Sink and Float ” what could be better than doing an experiment and seeing for yourself how the objects sink or float as per their density?

Shadows
Students are making shadows in the classroom to understand the formation of shadows.
Area and Perimeter
Learners make 2D shapes of Regular and Irregular polygons by using ice-cream sticks and find the differences between them. Then measured perimeter of each shape by adding the lengths of each side. Learners find the area of irregular shapes by using different lengths and widths. Learners identify the relationship between units of length in area and perimeter.

Knowledgeable field trip about history.. And find reasons for how history impacts our city, life, and culture..
MIDDLE & SECONDARY ACTIVITIES
Field Trip To Alliance Française of Hyderabad
International languages play a crucial role in communication. Under this impression, French language learners from Grades 6 to 8 have enthusiastically visited Alliance Francaise, Hyderabad.
The language team of Alliance Francaise had organized different interactive games, library tours, campus tour, conducted quiz and encouraged learners by shedding light on the importance of language French and also throw lime light on career options by learning French. Learners actively participated and enjoyed the learning from the educational field trip.Ganesh Chaturthi 2023 Celebration
May Lord Ganesh give you a rainbow for every storm, a smile for every tear, a promise for every care, and an answer to every prayer!
Festivals build group cohesiveness, bring people together, break the monotony of routine, and energize the body, mind, and spirit. Echoing this festive spirit, the learners of Solitaire Global schools celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with much zeal and zest by performing an energetic dance and a devotional song.

Hindi Divas is an annual day celebrated on 14 September in India to celebrate Hindi as one Under the Article 343 of the Indian Constitution, Hindi written in ‘Devanagari’ script was adopted as the official language. To celebrate the popularity of Hindi as an official language of India. It was in 1918 that Mahatma Gandhi, widely regarded as the Father of the Nation, attended a conference on Hindi literature and asked Hindi to be made the national language of India. On this occasion, the learners of Solitaire Global schools celebrated the day with speeches, drama, and dance to make everyone aware of the importance of the language.
Rhetoric Rhapsody Competition
Our students are participating in Rhetoric Rhapsody competition at Birla Open Minds school. One of our student won the Twitter Tales first prize.
Sportifs Engages – Interschool swimming competition.
The learners of Solitaire Global School, Attapur participated in an inter school annual swimming competition this month that was organized by Sportifs Engages, a technology-driven, multi-disciplined sports solution powered by a team of seasoned specialists.
It was indeed a proud moment for us when students representing our school won second and third positions in the competition. This is how we focus on the holistic development of learners here.
