    “Masoom”

School safety has been defined as creating a safe environment for the learners, starting from their homes to their schools and back. This includes safety from any kind of abuse, violence, psycho-social issues, disaster, natural & man made etc. To raise awareness amongst the learners and the teachers “Young Indians” conceived the project ‘Masoom’. Under the project, YI conducted awareness and sensitization sessions with the teachers at Solitaire global schools, Attapur, which were then transferred to the learners too.

    EARLY YEARS ACTIVITIES

    Math Learning Activity

Addition skills pave the way for years of math learning. To make their concepts strong and clear, EY3 came up with a bug addition activity that was student-led and promoted self-learning.

The fun way of learning never halts in the early years. Active learning was spotted throughout EY Attapur.

    Multi-lingual Special Assembly

Most children in the world grow up multilingual rather than monolingual. Having more than one language is something that should be celebrated, promoted, and supported. Multilingualism stimulates brain development and helps children learn because they can think about their ideas in more than one language.
This is how the early years, Attapur celebrated our rich heritage of multiple languages with a special assembly. The students of EY1 greeted the audience in different languages, while EY2 demonstrated their singing skills. It was a spectacular view to see the EY3 students all dressed up to present a multi-lingual dance performance. Here are a few glimpses.

    Young Learners Experimenting on Taste

A sense of taste activity was done to explore the sense of taste. Sugar, salt and lemon. A comparison was done to stimulate the scent and sensation.

    Indian flag

Students enjoyed painting their hands in tricolor. Little ones loved this creative activity.

Group activity on Soft and hard objects

Kids’ sense of touch helps them to learn about the types or kinds of objects by using their hands to touch and feel things. The activity shown below really helped them to understand clearly about soft and hard objects around us in a fun and playful way.

    Popsicles Geometrical shapes

To improve students hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, popsicle colour pattern matching, and problem-solving skills

The idea of taking them to watch a movie was both fun and educational and the learners could connect with our national leader and relate to his biography.
