Now It’s Time for Assessment & Evaluation

Active learning engages students in learning through activities such as reading, writing, discussion, or problem-solving that promote analysis, synthesis, and evaluation of class content. Active in-class learning also provides students with informal opportunities for feedback on how well they understand the content. Here are a few glimpses of active learning at Solitaire global schools in Attapur.

EARLY YEARS ACTIVITIES

Stars of the day

Rewards are the best way to motivate a child to do their best. Stars of the day in the early years. Have a look at our twinkling little stars.

Topic related independent activities

It’s always fun to learn new topics through interesting activities. This is how the early years had a good time understanding the topics.

Reading Rabbits

It is often said that books are the window to the world, and people who are constantly reading can’t agree with the adage anymore. Reading not only enhances one’s knowledge but also helps improve communication skills and inculcates holistic development. To develop an interest in our tiny tots in the early Years, Attapur, and the value of reading books even in an era dominated by the internet, we celebrated ‘Reading Rabbit’, as a part of Reading Day.

The students conveyed the importance of reading to their friends, and we had the lovely 8th-grade students volunteer to read out story books to our little ones.
The outdoor ambiance and a lovely reader with their favourite storybook…What more could they ask for?

The students thoroughly enjoyed the activity, and so did the seniors.

Voluntary services by Grade 12

The initiative started last year and has been put into practice this year too. As a part of their voluntary service, students of grade 12 played a vital role in helping students across the early years. Here’s a glimpse of the same.

Online PE & Dance Class

Online Sports and dance classes: When we say holistic development, we mean it. The online classes too could not stop our students from developing their gross motor skills. Have a look at how the teachers involved the students in sports and dance during online classes.

Physical development

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. The students in their early years were so involved in various physical activities, enhancing their gross motor skills. Let’s take a look.

EY 2 Alpha tiny tots recapitulated numbers 1 to 10. They recognised the number given to them, picked up many candies from the box, and placed them on the table. This activity helps to improve students’ identification, recognition, and counting skills.

Neighbourhood walks

Neighbourhood walks provide students with a range of physical, mental, social, and educational benefits. Encouraging regular walks as part of a student’s routine can contribute to their overall well-being and enhance their learning experience.

EY1 had fun exploring the letter F with fruits, flowers and miniature fairies.

It was a fun day filled with exciting events where the little ones were happy to unwind and relax. There was a fishing activity that helped improve their hand-eye coordination. The display of fruits attracted the children to happily eat them, and the cleaning of fruits before eating them and their health benefits were also discussed.
