EARLY YEARS ACTIVITIES
Comic Con
Another fun-filled event ” Comic Con” at Solitaire Global Schools Attapur, EY sections. The tiny tots had a fun-filled day coming dressed as their favourite superhero. Many dressed as their role models who were none other than real-life superheroes.
Here the learners were able to distinguish between fictional and non-fictional characters.





Show & Tell
To enhance their communication skills and boost self-confidence the students of EY 2 and 3 had a wonderful activity called “Show and Tell” where the students were given various topics and they had to speak about anyone. The little ones enjoyed speaking their hearts out on their favourite topic.



Hop on Numbers!
Active learning spotted in EY1 where students hopped on numbers. The activity helped them identify the numbers and the hopping helped them boost their gross motor skills.



Fireless Cooking
It’s cooking time!! Our little learners of the Early years could not wait to get their internal chefs out on display. Might it be taste or presentation the EY chefs had a feast for the eyes. They also learned to share with others what they cooked on the occasion of “Fireless cooking”. It was lovely to see them explain their dishes from fruit salads to yummy bhel Puri. Our tiny Gordon Ramsay’s had the best time flaunting their skills.




Recap of Shapes
Shapes play an important role in our daily lives. To enhance their knowledge and connect with various shapes that we see in our surroundings the little learners of Early years had an exciting activity done. Learning shapes not only helped the children identify and organize visual information, it helped them learn skills in other curriculum areas including reading, math, and science.




Paper Glass Music ? Maker & Exploring Sounds
Children naturally love music! Whether it’s soft and soothing or a lively tune, children feel it both physically and emotionally.

Comic Con _ Dress as Super Heroes, Fancy Dress Event
This activity is an opportunity for children to develop strength, selflessness and empathy towards others. This is a fun way to engage even shy children in fantasy play, it also helps to explore the triumph of good over evil. Little solitarians participated with a great zeal. Children dressed up like their favourite super heroes and cartoons. This activity helps them to be unselfish, and to build up self-confidence, imagination power, creativity, and so on. It gives Knowledge about good and evil, right and wrong things. And how to overcome and conquer the fear within themselves. The kids had a great time and had fun.










PRIMARY ACTIVITIES
Bathukamma Celebration
SGS-Attapur we celebrated Bathukamma. It represents the cultural spirit of the State. Bathukamma means the ‘festival of life’ and is celebrated to thank goddess Parvati for her blessings. Bathukamma symbolizes the patron goddess of womanhood, it is a festival for female felicitation. Women and girls dress up traditionally and gather together and form a circle around Bathukamma and celebrate by singing folk songs and dancing around the floral arrangement. Bathukamma in today’s time signifies the importance of preserving a cultural legacy.






Celebrating Bathukamma cannot be complete without teachers, they came in traditional attire today and participated in full swing. Sincerely appreciate the effort and dedication.

Pastoral Session
Pastoral care involves regular one-to-one tracking and mentoring of students. It focuses on the well-being and progression of each student on an individual basis. Our pastoral curriculum is comprehensive, age appropriate and addresses the students’ social and emotional development. It equips them with the skills they will need to face the challenges in an ever-changing world. Topic-Discipline. Good behaviour is promoted among students through Discipline. It emphasized on the significance of holistic development of a person lies on Discipline.

Food Fiesta Sale
A Food Fiesta Sale bringing the flavour game to a whole new level. Students of Grade 6 to 10 were allowed to install various Food stalls and sell their dish at a minimal price through which they learnt about business, team work, coordination , presentation in the best way and the collected amount will be donated to a charity which also teaches them to be compassionate towards the impoverished.












Workshop on Global Perspective
On 6th September 2023, our Global Perspective facilitators attended a workshop which aims to introduce Global Perspective as a multi-skill course and discuss ways to implement it in schools. It was organized by Collins Publishers in Lemon Tree Premier, HITECH City Hyderabad and was conducted by Dr. Elaine Higglton International Publisher, Collins Learning and Mrs. Manju Surenderan, Collins Resource Person.
Further, the Solitaire Global Schools took a step forward and organised one more similar workshop on ‘Under Pinning Pedagogies for Global Perspective’ on 7th October 2023, at Solitiare Global Schools, Attapur branch. Several facilitators from different highly reputed schools around the city had attended the event. Mrs. Achamma Mathew, the chief education officer from Cambridge Gurukul Schools, CAIE trainer, had presented the workshop and enlightened the audience with advanced techniques of teaching Global Perspective in classrooms.









Workshop on Maths and Science
A training session for teachers on Underpinning key pedagogies of Primary and Lower Secondary Maths and Science Resources Was Conducted by Ms Kamaljeet M Jaiswal on 14th of October at Solitaire Global Schools Attapur. The objective of this training was to provide teachers with a deeper understanding of the pedagogical foundations and resources for effectively teaching mathematics and science in primary and lower secondary education. The session effectively covered the core pedagogical principles for teaching mathematics and science in primary education. The discussions on constructivist approaches, inquiry-based learning, and the importance of hands-on experiences were enlightening. The training emphasized the need for differentiated instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs. The strategies provided to adapt lessons to different student abilities and learning styles were seen as particularly useful. The practical demonstrations and hands-on activities were a highlight of the training. Teachers valued the opportunity to engage in interactive experiments and explore teaching resources in a real classroom setting.




Spoken English Training
CPD is an essential part of career development for any individual, so how could we miss out on our non-academic team? During the Dussehra holidays, the team underwent vigorous training on how to develop their LSWR skills in English conducted by various subject experts. There were many activities like role play, peer learning, and group discussions conducted to make the session interesting.


Dussehra Celebration
Every year on Vijaya Dashami (Dussarah) ravana effigy was burned. The common reason being said is that everybody have a Ravana in himself, so to end that evil, we burn Ravana every year. Symbolizing the victory of good over evil, Dussehra is celebrated on the 10th day of the month of Ashvina (September–October), the seventh month of the Hindu calendar, with the appearance of the full moon, an event called the “bright fortnight” (shukla paksha). Today at SGS-Attapur, teachers celebrated Dussarah with more conviction to end evil from the society.





CPD Session
CPD for linguistics and GP teachers emphasizing the importance of language in academics was conducted. Classroom engagement techniques for differential learning was a key takeaway .





Hand on Session on Bloom – Taxomony Academic
Bloom’s Taxonomy is an integral part of a teacher’s life – whether it’s creating learning objectives, asking the right questions in the classroom, or even designing classroom activities. To empower teachers to use Bloom’s taxonomy effectively in classrooms there was a workshop conducted by the subject expert at Solitaire Global Schools, Attapur.
It empowered the teachers to understand how to create desired learning trajectories for students and guide them toward higher-order thinking. It is relevant for all curricula and contains actionable suggestions, tips, and guidance to help teachers become an expert in leveraging Bloom’s Taxonomy for best effect in classrooms for all grades.
